Do teeth belong to bones?
Are teeth bones?
In anatomy, teeth do not belong to bones.
But the shape of the teeth embedded in the alveolar bone is called the joint. (called gomphosis)
The area where the bone meets the bone is called the joint.. Thus, there's a slight contradiction.
Of the teeth, the ivory has a very similar tissue structure to the bone, and the outside enamel is much more mineralized than the bone and is the most rigid part of the body.
In conclusion, it's not determined by bone, but it's connected to the bone by gomphosis.
