Function Gradient m
Mathematics In a Nutshell
The gradient m of the straight line is an indicator of the steepness of the line at which it slopes.
Example
Line Gradient given 2 points A(x1, y1) and B(x2, y2)
Gradient = change in y direction / change in x direction
Example
Find the gradient of the line that goes through (5, -3) and (3, 3)
Answer
m= 5 - 3 / -3 - 3 = -1/3
Draw the line with gradient = 5
